001 - Drum n Bass / Jungle

An art exhibition by Charlotte Archer

12.12.19

7pm - 10pm

This exhibition is the first in a series where Charlotte will be showcasing portrait paintings of musicians, djs, producrers, rappers & singers across all of her favourite musical genres.

'Music is a huge part of my everyday life, when I started painting portraits it felt only right to be painting people who inspire me or have influenced me over the years.'

Charlotte plans to continue her exhibition series with genres such as Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, Funk, House, UK Garage & Grime.

' I’m London born and bred so it was important to me to hold my first exhibition here. Blackmarket Records was before my time however, I’m totally in awe of the amount of nostalgia around at the moment for the shop and the era that was the heartbeat of Drum n Bass and Jungle in the 90s in London so it’s incredibly special to me to be able to hold my first ever exhibition at the former ground-breaking record shop, now Cut n Grind Barbers, in Soho.'

Original paintings and prints will be available to purchase on the night of the exhibition. With 15% of profits from the original paintings going towards the Denny fundraiser http://bit.ly/DennysLastChance

Below are a few of the artworks you can expect to see on the night.
